Meet our EIT Fellow Students

Paula Hernández Cárdenas

Paula comes from Spain and she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry as a result of her interest in Nutrition Science. She then discovered her passion about Food and Environmental Sciences which led her to choose a master on Biotechnology for the Bioeconomy in Milan.

Anthi Marioli

Anthi has studied Crop Science with a Specialization in Applied Plant Physiology and Biotechnology of Microorganisms. Through her internships, as well as her participation as a volunteer in the coordination of science and technology events, she decided to try science communication and dissemination regarding crop science and agriculture. Creativity, interaction with other people and goal-oriented environments are main qualities of the workplace she aims to find herself in.

Patrícia Golcalves

Patrícia graduated from Food Science and Technology, in Portugal. Her passion is new product development and food quality and that is what she aims to be doing in the future. To her, circular economy and valorization of by-products are the main keys to a sustainable future. She enjoys discovering new places, going hiking, camping, and just be in contact with nature.

Martina Podgorsek

Martina started her research in the second year in study Microbiology (BSc). From the beginnings her focus are yeast, mostly Saccharomyces pastorianus and Saccharomyces cerevisiae associated with beer. She finished her Master degree in Biotechnology with thesis “Genetic stability of chosen strain for repitching of buckwheat and millet beer production”. Her love to yeast and curiosity brought her to sunny Limassol.
