style=\"font-weight: 400;text-align: justify\">Eleni Xenofontos completed her bachelor\u2019s degree in Environmental Sciences and Technology and two master\u2019s degrees in Environmental Biosciences and Food Biotechnology at Cyprus University of Technology. During her master\u2019s studies, she specialized in microbiological techniques and analytical techniques like HPLC, GC and spectrophotometry. She worked at Cyprus University of Technology for three years, as a researcher, in projects about waste management and as a teaching assistant in laboratory courses (Microbiology, Environmental microbiology, Biotechnology and Toxicology). She also worked as a laboratory technician and quality control officer in a private laboratory. She is a member of Agricultural Microbiology and Biotechnology Laboratory since 2017. She worked in several projects completed (ACUA, AGROID, AGROINNOECO) and she is currently working for two projects, MEDCLIV \u2013 Mediterranean Climate Vine and Wine Ecosystem funded by EIT Climate KIC and BTF-Black to the Future funded by EIT food.<\/p><p style=\"font-weight: 400;text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">She also works us teaching assistant for the courses \u00abMicrobiology\u00bb \u0393\u0392\u03a4105 (BSc) and \u00abSpecial Topics of Microbiology\u00bb \u0393\u0392\u03a4501 (MSc). Since September 2019 she is a PhD candidate in the Department of Agricultural Sciences, Biotechnology and Food Science at Cyprus University of Technology in wine microbiology during malolactic fermentation. Throughout her prior studies she specialized in microflora of alcoholic fermentation during wine and cider making.
